Updated: Chesapeake Shores is back on central Vancouver Island to film the sixth and final season of the long-running Hallmark series about the multi-generational O’Brien family.

Jesse Metcalfe left the series early in season 5 with his character Trace Riley written out in the first two episodes and Robert Buckley joined as billionaire Evan Kincaid.

Season 6 begins on the same night where season 5 left off — we will find out who Abby called.

Mailey), playwright turned bookstore owner Bree (Emilie Ullerup), soldier-turned-medic Kevin (Brendan Penny), lawyer Connor (Andrew Francis),  grandmother Nell (Diane Ladd) and once-estranged mother Megan (Barbara Niven).
