Geena Davis Exits CBS Mom & Son Legal Pilot as Production Paused in Vancouver

Geena Davis has left the CBS pilot about a black sheep P.I. working for his successful lawyer Mom, according to Deadline.

The drama follows a talented but directionless P.I. Todd (Skylar Astin) who is the black sheep of his family, and despite their opposing personalities, agrees to work as the in-house investigator for his overbearing mother Margaret, a successful attorney reeling from the recent dissolution of her marriage.

Production paused in Vancouver while a replacement is found. Marcia Gay Harden will play Joan, according to Deadline.

Geena Davis was here for a table read late last week and the CBS pilot filmed over the weekend, including Sunday at the TD Tower in downtown Vancouver as the law firm.

Skylar Astin remains on board as P.I. Todd.

Cast: Skylar Astin, Madeline Wise, Inga Schlingmann, Rosa Arrendondo,

Madeline Wise is Todd’s sister Allison, an ER trauma surgeon.

Inga Schlingmann is Todd’s former girlfriend, who now works with his mother Margaret at her law firm.

Rosa Arrendondo is Margaret’s “Girl Friday” Francey at the law firm.

Tristan J. Winger is licensed investigator Lyle at Margaret’s law firm.
