Paul Wesley is James T. Kirk on season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, now filming in Toronto.
Wesley recently met William Shatner, Star Trek’s OG James T. Kirk, on a flight to L.A. when Shatner was in the seat next to him.
I am deeply humbled and still a little startled to have been given the honor of playing the inimitable James T Kirk. Ever since I was a kid, I have been awed by the imaginative world Gene Roddenberry created.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds follows the voyages of Capt. Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) on the U.S.S. Enterprise, which predate the voyages of Capt. James T. Kirk (William Shatner) on the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Toronto filming dates: February 1st to June 30th, 2022.
Working title: Lily & Isaac.
