New ABC Series ALASKA DAILY With Hilary Swank Starts Filming in Vancouver
ABC’s new Thursday night series Alaska Daily, with Hilary Swank as a former Big City journalist, starts filming in Vancouver.
Filming dates: August 08 2022 – January 13 2023.
Alaska Daily premieres Thursday, October 6th at 10 p.m. on ABC.
The pilot from Spotlight and Stillwater director Tom McCarthy shot in Vancouver in March.
Eileen (Hilary Swank) is a star journalist who moves to Alaska for a fresh start after a career-killing misstep and finds redemption personally and professionally joining a daily metro newspaper in Anchorage.
Stanley Cornik (Jeff Perry) is the editor in Anchorage who offers Eileen the job, having worked with her 20 years ago at a metro daily in the lower 48.
Alaska also stars Matt Malloy as Bob Young, Meredith Holzman as Claire Muncy, Grace Dove as Rosalind “Roz” Friendly, Pablo Castelblanco as Gabriel Martin, Ami Park as Jieun Park and Craig Frank as Austin Greene.
New showrunner: Peter Elkoff.

I agree. They make a movie about Alaska and they film it in British Columbia. I will give it a try but I am very disappointed. I used to live there. my family still lives there and I thought it would be fun to see familiar country

How many shows filmed about New York not filmed in New York? about L.A. not filmed in L.A.? Atlanta season 3 was not in Atlanta. And IK for a fact Multiverse of Madness was filmed on this Earth. And as a Black Man (one of the first) born and raised in Alaska! After 2 major films and no network TV shows! This Sucks! The funny thing is with our Super Long Days in the summer, you could have filmed 2 or 3 seasons in 1 Summer Month! JS. Wait Until ABlaskans gets red lit to film here, where it is about.
