Toni Collette & Josh Charles Join THE POWER Filming in Vancouver This Summer
Toni Collette and Josh Charles join Auliʻi Cravalho in Amazon Prime Video’s female-centric global sci-fi series The Power filming in Vancouver this summer.
Adapted from Naomi Alderman’s novel, The Power is about a group of teenage girls who mysteriously develop a special power that allows them to electrocute people at will.
From London to Seattle, Nigeria to Eastern Europe, the Power evolves from a tingle in teen girl collarbones to a complete reversal of the power balance of the world.
Vancouver filming dates: July 25 2022 – September 24 2022.

Suddenly, and without warning, all teenage girls in the world develop the power to electrocute people at will. And they learn they can awaken the Power in older women, too. Soon nearly every woman in the world can electrocute people with her bare hands giving women the physical upper hand over men. And everything is different.

Josh Charles as Daniel Dandon, the Washington State Governor and thorn in Margot’s side, a recasting of Tim Robbins in the role.

Originally The Power had planned to film in Vancouver in the Spring of 2020 but the Covid-19 pandemic put a stop to that.
Production on The Power started in the U.K. in 2021 with the now recast Leslie Mann and Tim Robbins both spotted on set and filmed in a number of locations including Fairford, Lechlade, a large convent on the outskirts of Bowdsey and the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in south London.. From the U.K., The Power went on to film in Nambia.
And now Vancouver.
