REEL THANKS CHALLENGE Underway to Raise $300K for Greater Vancouver Food Bank This Thanksgiving

The 10th Annual REEL Thanksgiving Challenge is underway with a goal to raise $300,000 from the BC Film industry for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank with 16 teams participating (so far).

That’s a big jump from last year’s goal of $200,00 (which was met).

16 teams so far: A Million Little Things, Alaska Daily, Career Opportunities in Murder & Mayhem, Fire Country, Kung Fu, Nancy Drew, So Help Me Todd, Straight Man, Superman & Lois, The Flash, The Good Doctor, The Never Game pilot, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Upload, Virgin River, When Calls the Heart.

Will we see a little DC TV rivalry between Team Flash and Team Superman & Lois this year?

Over 10 years, the REEL Thanksgiving Challenge has raised almost $1.5 million for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

Team Hearties from Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart won the Reel Thanksgiving Challenge in 2021, raising over $42,000 in two weeks.

Team Mysterious Benedict Society won the Challenge in 2020, raising over $65,000.

Team Supernatural won the Challenge in 2019, raising $47,450. It also won the social media challenge thanks to some viral videos from its stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki & Misha Collins and crew.

Team Supernatural won the Challenge in 2018 too, raising $40,592.
