Adapted from Lee Child’s bestselling book series, season 3 is rumoured to be based on the 9th book — One Shot — which was the basis for the 2012 movie Jack Reacher starring Tom Cruise.

The 6’4″ star went bigger too, breaking 240 lbs in time to play Reacher for the second season.
Season 2 is based on the 11th book in the Lee Child series — Bad Luck and Trouble.

Reacher proved to be an instant success for Amazon Prime Video, getting renewed for season 2 just three days after dropping all 8 episodes in February last year.
Later we found out Reacher topped Nielsen’s streaming rankings for Feb. 7-13 2022, the first Amazon Prime Video TV series to do so.
They initially announced season 2 release in “early” 2023. We are now in July 2023 abd still no news about release. They might have wanted to distance it from Jack Ryan release in June.
They are already inthe middle of filming season 3.
Are they now waiting till the fall?
