BC-Filmed VIRGIN RIVER Renewed For Season 6 With Alexandra Breckinridge & Martin Henderson

BC-Filmed VIRGIN RIVER Renewed For Season 6 With Alexandra Breckinridge & Martin Henderson

Netflix gave its popular romance Virgin River an early, if unsurprising, renewal today at its virtual Upfront.

Based on the novels by Robyn Carr, Virgin River follows Melinda “Mel” Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), a nurse and midwife who moves to the small California town from Los Angeles after her husband Mark dies. There she falls for restaurant/bar owner and former marine Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) but their romance is complicated.

Virgin River fans will have to wait until the Fall to see season 5 and production on season 6 may be delayed because of the ongoing WGA Writers Strike, but the news calls for a round of drinks at Jack’s Bar.

Jack’s Bar is played by The Watershed Grill in Brackendale

Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos visited the Virgin River set last Fall in Vancouver.

  1. Sights of Squamish, Brackendale, the Chief, Squamish river, all near and dear to my heart as Squamish was my home town. Brings back nostalgic feelings.
