IT Prequel Series WELCOME TO DERRY Starts Filming in Toronto

Time to Float. Max’s It prequel series Welcome to Derry starts filming in Toronto.

Set in the 1960s, four kids in a town bordering an Air Force base with a mysterious “Special Projects” bunker search for friend of theirs who disappeared mysteriously.

Does this series include the origin story of Pennywise the Clown, leading up to the events of It: Part One, based on the Stephen King horror novel?

Filming dates: May 01 2023 – December 21 2023.

Showrunners: Jason Fuchs, Brad Caleb Kane.

Director: Andy Muschietti, who directed It: Part One & It: Part Two, will direct a few episodes of the series.

Cast: Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Madelaine Stowe, Stephen Rider.

Producers: Double Dream, Warner Bros. Television.

Where will it film?

Port Hope, Ontario, transformed into Derry, Maine for the film franchise, with Port Hope Munical Hall playing the Derry Public Library and many other changes. Will the series use the same locations?

  1. Love this!!!my mist favorite author ever . Will he be doing an appearance in this,?? As he’s in all his other movies and series? I read the book first before I see any movies etc. Then look for Mr King in all of them lol it’s sometimes like finding Waldo I love it. Thank you Mr King for all the stories I have not read one I didn’t love but omg “it” well that one scared the crap outta me. Couldn’t put my feet in the floor to get outta my bed but I couldn’t stop reading the book!! Love it!
