James T. Kirk Meets Spock on This Week’s STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS
The beginning of a beautiful friendship? Visiting James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley) invites Spock (Ethan Peck) to join him and Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding) in the Enterprise lounge, at the end of of this week’s episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2.
It is funny because I tend to go into these scenes and moments not really thinking about how it’ll be perceived, and Paul turned to me [and was] like, “This is crazy. This is Spock and Kirk meeting.” I was like, ‘Yeah, I can’t even think about it.” — Ethan Peck to TV Insider.
It was so casual. It literally was a handful of words, but that first meeting between Spock and Uhura and Kirk, just the three of them and [when] the camera pulls back, it’s so f**king awesome — Paul Wesley to TV Insider.
The future Captain Kirk is on the Enterprise to see his brother Sam.
While aboard, Kirk helps Uhura figure out the meaning of a strange droning sound that only she hears which triggers terrifying hallucinations.
Will we see more of the genesis of this friendship in seasons to come?
