Vancouver-Shot THE IRRATIONAL With Jesse L. Martin Debuts September 25th on NBC
Vancouver-shot investigative thriller The Irrational, starring Jesse L. Martin, premieres Monday September 25th, on NBC after The Voice.
Alec Mercer (Jesse L Martin). a world-renowned professor of behavioral science, lends his expertise to an array of high-stakes cases involving governments, law enforcement, and corporations with his unique and unexpected approach to understanding human behavior.
Jesse L. Martin is comfortable working in Vancouver, having spent nine seasons filming in the city as Barry Allen’s foster father and then father-in-law Joe West on The Flash.
Production on The Irrational started early in the Spring to get ahead of the Writers Guild of America strike on May 2nd and continued with so-called “locked scripts” until the SAG-AFTRA guild joined the writers in a Double Strike on July 14th. Season one has 7 completed episodes.

Molly Kunz is Alec’s protege Phoebe, pursing her master’s degree in psychology.
Arash DeMaxi is psychology grad student Owen.
