The first two episodes of Alberta-filmed Fargo season 5 premiered on FX last night: about a seemingly Minnesota-nice housewife Dot Lyon (Juno Temple) who fends off a home invasion by masked goons sent by her brute of an ex, North Dakota Sheriff Roy Tillman (Jon Hamm).
But [the] housewife is not just a housewife. She is a tiger — Noah Hawley.
Dot eventually escapes: “MacGyvering” her house and then a gas station convenience store into a series of weapons and traps.
And returns home as if nothing happened.
But wants to invest in a home defence solution for next time.
The latest season of Noah Hawley’s crime anthology is set in 2019 Minnesota and North Dakota.
And is a homage to the Cohen Brothers’ original film Fargo.

But she’s on the run from North Dakota Sheriff Roy Tillman (Jon Hamm) who’s determined to take back what he thinks he owns — the wife who escaped him years ago.

Lorraine calls in her legal counsel (Dave Foley) to find out what Dot’s up to.
North Dakota Deputy Witt Farr (Lamorne Morris) and Minnesota Police Deputy Indira Olmstead (Richa Moorjani) search for the truth.
