THE WAY HOME Season 2 Wraps Filming This December in Ontario. Premieres in January on Hallmark.

It will always take you where you need to go.

Season 2 of family time-twister The Way Home, starring Chyler Leigh, Andie MacDowell, Sadie Laflamme-Snow and Evan Williams, wraps filming early this December in Scarborough, Ontario, and premieres January 21st on the Hallmark Channel.

Season one followed divorced journalist Kat Landry (Chyler Leigh) and her teen daughter Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) as they return home to Port Haven, New Brunswick, to live with Kat’s estranged mother Del (Andie Macdowell) on the family farm with a mysterious pond.

After Alice’s and Kat’s time-travelling adventures through the pond, season one ends with Kat discovering that not only is she responsible for the crash that killed her father Colton, but she is also the mysterious woman at his funeral with whom Del thought her husband was having an affair.

Kat also finds out that her younger brother Jacob (Remy Smith), who went missing as a boy, actually fell into the pond and was transported to the 1800s (In 1814 Jacob wrote in the family almanac telling Kat where he was).

And the show bookended the season, as we learned that Kat is the long-haired woman from the 1800s who jumped into the pond to escape a mob in the series premiere. She called out “I’ll be back, Jacob. I promise.”

In a season 2 teaser, Kat and Alice jump into the pond together.

But Alice is left behind.

“What have you done? Where’s my mom?”
