Your team. What’s your codename again? / The Boys. / Oof, who came up with that shit?

Season 4 of Toronto-filmed The Boys picks up with a defeated Billy Butcher and a triumphant Homelander against the backdrop of a Presidential election in The Boys universe.

The Boys is a show about a group of vigilantes who try to take down corrupt “supes ” who abuse their superpowers.

Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), with only months to live, has lost Becca’s (Shantel VanSanten) son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.

The Boys will have to come together to save the world from facism, maybe with help from the character played by The Walking Dead and Supernatural’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Much of season 4 is a battle for Ryan’s soul.

If Ryan turns into another little sociopathic Homelander, that’s apocalyptic. But on the other hand, if [Billy] Butcher’s able to pull him away from that, then you might have the only person who can actually fight Homelander. – showrunner Eric Kripke told TVLine.

Showrunner Eric Kripke vows he will not let Homelander win in the end.
