Taron Egerton Stars in FIREBUG Inspired By Notorious Arsonist & Filming in Vancouver

Updated with new possible title Moth to Flame.

Taron Egerton stars in Apple TV+’s new Firebug (or Moth to Flame) series, inspired by a notorious serial arsonist and filming in Vancouver this Spring.

Inspired by real-life California arson investigator turned serial arsonist John Orr, Moth to Flame will follow a troubled detective and an enigmatic arson investigator (Taron Egerton) as they pursue the trails of two serial arsonists.

John Orr was a former firefighter who became an arson investigator for the Glendale Fire Department in southern California. Hired to track down cases of arson, he became the serial arsonist he claimed to be hunting, responsible for setting a series of big fires during the 1980s and 1990s that resulted in tens of millions of dollars of damage and four deaths.
