Here’s Virgin River star Alexandra Breckinridge sandwiched between co-stars Marco Grazzini and Zibby Allen at Fan Expo Vancouver.
Production on season 6 of Virgin River starts this Wednesday, February 21st in British Columbia — in locations from Squamish to Vancouver to the Fraser Valley.
Virgin River — one of Netflix’s biggest shows — follows Melinda “Mel” Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), a nurse and midwife who moves to the small California town from Los Angeles after her husband Mark dies. There she falls for restaurant/bar owner and former marine Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) and becomes friends with his lawyer sister Brie (Zibby Allen).
Where did we leave Mel, Jack and Brie at the end of season 5?
Season 5 started with Mel and Jack in a good place — engaged and expecting a baby. But after helping the town fight a wildfire, .Mel suffered a miscarriage. It took time to recover but by the end of the season Mel and Jack are back in a good place and planning to build a new home on the ashes of Lily’s farm. They spent Christmas looking for and finding her biological father Everett Reid (John Allen Nelson ).
Meanwhile, Jack’s sister Brie (Zibby Allen) broke off with Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth) because she thought he was still involved with the Virgin River drug trade and connected with cop Mike (Marco Grazzini) when she was in court in Sacramento testifying against the former co-worker who assaulted her.

Mel’s cabin is played by the 70-year-old McCrea cabin in North Vancouver’s Murdo Frazer Park, with interiors filmed in studio.
Mel and Jack plan to build a new home on Lilly’s farm in season 6. Will there be a new regular set?
Vernon’s Clinc is played by a 134-year-old Queen Anne house at 122 First Street in New Westminster, with interiors filmed in studio.
Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos visited the clinic set in studio in the Fall of 2022.
