Justin Hartley’s TRACKER at Vancouver Island’s Big Beach for Season Finale

As crew and backgrounders wandered back to the Tracker set at Ucluelet’s Big Beach on Vancouver Island this past Thursday, I heard familiar TV screen voices behind me.

Star Justin Hartley, a guest actor (Jensen Ackles?) and director Ken Olin had hiked up the path to block a scene above the beach, with someone yelling instructions down at these two below like it was a Saturday Night Live skit, as he put it.

The Storm: Colter (Justin Hartley) investigates the disappearance of two amateur storm chasers that the local police have written off as an accidental drowning. Colter’s expert tracking skills lead him to uncover the seedy underbelly of a small town resort.

As I left, Colter’s GM truck and Airstream pulled into the closed-for-filming Big Beach parking lot.

Tracker started shooting in the area on Sunday April 14th, in downtown Tofino.

And wrapped Thursday night in Ucluelet.

Update:

Today, Tracker is shooting more scenes for the season finale in Downtown Vancouver.

Tracker Season One:

Episodes: 13.

Filming dates: November 29 2023 – April 23 2024

Cast: Justin Hartley, Fiona Rene., Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany, Eric Graise.

Producers: 20th Television, Justin Hartley.

Updated with possibility that the guest actor I heard was Jensen Ackles as Colter’s brother Russelll Shaw and that’s why the other voice was so familiar.
