Chance Perdomo, who died in a tragic accident five weeks ago, won’t be recast in season 2 of The Boys college spinoff Gen V. Storylines have been recrafted to “honor Chance and his legacy”.
Production will begin mid-May in Toronto.

As we continue to navigate the tragic loss of Chance Perdomo, everyone at Gen V is determined to find the best way to pay respect to his memory. We won’t be recasting the role, because no one can replace Chance. Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our Season 2 storylines as we begin production in May. We will honor Chance and his legacy this season.
Set in the diabolical world of The Boys, Gen V expands the universe to Godolkin University and the first generation of superheroes to know about Compound V (that their powers were injected into them rather than God-given) as they compete for the school’s highly coveted top ranking.
When the university’s dark secrets come to light, the students must come to grips with what type of heroes they are going to become.
Who’s coming back:
Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau: a superhero with the ability to control and weaponize her own blood.
Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer: aka Little Cricket, a superhero who can get super small.
Derek Luh and London Thor as Jordan Li, who can change between male and female forms and manifest different powers in each.
Maddie Phillips as mind-controlling Cate Dunlap and Asa German as super-strong Sam Riordan who went on a murder spree at the college in Gen V’s season one finale.
Homelander flew in and without assessing the situation blasted Marie, knocking s her out and imprisoned her, Emma, Jordan and Andre (the late Chance Perdomo) in a windowless, doorless room.
Vought News then cast the actual heroes as the perpetrators of the Godolkin 4 Massacre and the actual killers Cate and Sam as the Guardians of Godolkin.
Cate and Sam become part of Homelander’s wrathful Gods in season 4 of The Boys.
