The 6’5″ Daniel Diemer will play Percy’s half-brother Tyson (a young Cyclops) in season 2 of Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, adapted from Rick Riordan’s second book The Sea of Monsters.
Percy Jackson announced the casting of Tyson, the son of Poseidon and a nymph, at today’s San Diego Comic Con panel in Hall H.

In season 2, Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) returns to Camp Half-Blood one year later to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) is changing, he learns he has a cyclops(Daniel Diemer) for a brother, Grover ( Aryan Simhadri) has gone missing, and camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos. Percy’s journey to set things right will take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon.

The Volume:
The underwater scenes were super fun for me to film. I would come up only every 20 minutes because I was on oxygen tanks. It was so awesome…At the end, I could barely move my hands. Thank God they made the water warm for me. — Walker Scobell to EW.

Production is building a new Dining Hall Pavilion at its Camp Half-Blood set in Langley/Aldergrove.
Camp Half-Blood location in Aldergrove/Langley.
Season one’s Dining Hall Pavilion was either at the Camp Half-Blood set in Minaty Bay on the Sea to Sky Highway or in studio. It’s hard to tell.
