BC-Filmed SNOWPIERCER’s Final Ride With Jennifer Connelly & Daveed Diggs

New Ice Age drama Snowpiercer’s fourth and final season premieres tonight on AMC, with the train split between those who chose to stay with Melanie aboard Snowpiercer and those who chose to go with Layton aboard Big Alice in search of a life outside.

Earlier this year, Snowpiercer found a new home at AMC,, after being scrapped by TNT in January 2023 during the Warner Bros. Discovery purge of completed movies and shows.

Snowpiercer wrapped filming its series almost two years ago in British Columbia.

What’s Snowpiercer about?

Set more than seven years after the world becomes a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centres on the remaining people, who inhabit a gigantic, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe. At the end of season 3, some of those passengers split off aboard Big Alice and found a warm spot on the planet aka New Eden.

Season 4 opens nine months after Snowpiercer and Big Alice parted ways. Till (Mickey Sumner) and Ben (Iddo Goldberg) encounter unforeseen enemies when Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) sends them off the train on a reconnaissance mission. Meanwhile, the residents of New Eden face uncertain times and unknown adversaries, compelling them to further confront the complexities of their new reality.
