BC-filmed Dead Boy Detectives is a one-and-done at Netflix. There won’t be a second season of the delightful supernatural series starring George Rexstrew, Jayden Revri, Kassius Nelson and shit-talking cats and sprites — which dropped April 25th on the streamer.
Dead Boy Detectives was based on the beloved comic series from Neil Gaiman, and a new addition to The Sandman Universe for Netflix.
Season one opened with the Dead Boy Detectives on a case in London where they shot on Westminster Bridge. A new case took them to Port Townsend with various locations in Vancouver playing the Washington State town.
Season one closed with the teen ghosts able to leave Port Townsend and return to London where we can imagine .the Dead Boys Detective Agency taking on new cases under the supervision of the Night Nurse.

Filming in Vancouver:
The stuck in place teen ghosts and their clairvoyant friend solved several cases in recognizable BC locations like the Sheringham Point Lighthouse in Victoria, Whytecliff Park in West Vancouver, North Vancouver Cemetery, the Orpheum Theatre, Vancouver Art Gallery, Vancouver’s Point Grey Secondary, Cloverdale fairgrounds and public library, Fort Langley and more.
But the focal point of season one was the Butcher Shop where the main characters spent most of their time. Exteriors were filmed on Cambie Street north of Victory Square in downtown Vancouver.
