PERCY JACKSON Season 2: Timothy Simons as Camp Half-Blood Tyrant Tantalus

Look for Veep’s Timothy Simons in Vancouver. He’s cast as Camp Half-Blood’s tyrannical new activities director Tantalus in season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Camp Half-Blood is the summer camp where young demigods train to combat monsters..

Character description:

Tantalus (Timothy Simons) is sardonic, manipulative, openly hostile, and rarely in a good mood… seeing as he is cursed with eternal hunger and thirst, but can never eat or drink. Tantalus has been released from imprisonment in the Underworld to become the interim Activities Director at Camp Half-Blood, having replaced Chiron (Glynn Turman) who is under suspicion of having ties to Kronos.

Tantalus enjoys tormenting Percy Jackson and his friends, while favouring Clarrissa LaRue. And as the interim Activities Director he restarts the dangerous chariot races at Camp Half-Blood, teased at Disney’s D23 Fan Event.

Other new additions: Daniel Diemer (Percy’s half-brother Tyson a young Cyclops), Sandra Bernhard (Anger), Kristen Schaal (Tempest), and Margaret Cho (Wasp).

What’s season 2 about?

New storm rising.

Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) returns to Camp Half-Blood one year later to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) is changing, he learns he has a cyclops (Daniel Diemer) for a brother, Grover (Aryan Simhadri) has gone missing, and camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos. Percy’s journey to set things right will take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon.

Camp Half-Blood Sets:

Fans spotted season 2 crew near the Camp Half-Blood location in Minaty Bay in the first few days of production.

And this week, production has been spotted at the Langley/Aldergrove location where crew built this enormous set.
