Season 2 of light-hearted Vancouver crime drama Wild Cards starts with some bad blood between Giacomo Gianniotti’s cop Cole Ellis and Vanessa Morgan’s con-woman Max Mitchell.
You lied to me Max. You played me like one of your marks. — Ellis.
Season one’s cliffhanger found the unlikely partners in a rough place: with Ellis about to arrest Max for her triple-crossing role in a $33 million jewel heist when she showed up at his houseboat to tell him she’d discovered who murdered his brother.
As Ellis is arresting Max for her elaborate con, she blindsides him with info about his brother’s killer. Now the stakes are raised both in the cases they solve…and their feelings for each other.
