Peacock’s hit video game adaption Twisted Metal, with Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz, teases its deadly season 2 vehicular tournament filmed in Toronto.
John (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) find themselves entering the deadly Twisted Metal tournament, a sinister demolition derby hosted by a mysterious man known as Calypso (Anthony Kerrigan), As they try to survive an onslaught of dangerous new foes and familiar faces alike, including the murderous clown Sweet Tooth (Joe Seanoa) , things get complicated for John when he reunites with his long-lost sister, the vigilante Dollface.
Fans spotted Calypso, Mr. Grimm, Dollface, the Axel and the return of fan favourite Sweet Tooth in the footage.
Twisted Metal moved production from New Orleans to Toronto for season 2 and began filming last summer.

What’s Twisted Metal about?
Twisted Metal follows a motor-mouthed outsider (Anthony Mackie) offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief (Stephanie Beatriz), he faced savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown (Joe Senoa/Will Arnett) who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.

What’s coming in season 2?
John Doe’s invited to Calypso (Anthony Kerrigan)’s vehicular tournament which promises the one contestant who makes it out alive their wildest dreams.
The tournament is a good way to introduce us to John Doe’s sister Dollface, to Mr. Grimm and hopefully to Axel (a man hooked up to giant tires).
The stakes couldn’t be higher as John Doe (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz) risk their lives to compete in a dangerous demolition derby tournament. The prize? A single wish, their greatest hearts desire, granted. The only problem is sixteen other drivers have wishes of their own. . . It’s too bad not all of them will survive.
