BLACK MIRROR Season 7 Drops This April on Netflix: Episode 5 Shot in Vancouver

Season 7 of Netflix’s techno paranoid series Black Mirror drops April 10th on the global streamer. Episode 5 was filmed in Vancouver.

Charlie Brooker’s dark, satirical anthology series returns with six brand new episodes, including a sequel to the sci-fi adventure USS Callister.

It’s a return to OG Black Mirror.

It’s back to basics in many ways. They’re all sci-fi stories — there’s definitely some horrifying things that occur, but maybe not in an overt horror-movie way. There’s definitely some disturbing content in it. — Charlie Brooker to Tudum.

Season 7 Cast:

Awkwafina, Milanka Brooks, Peter Capaldi, Emma Corrin, Patsy Ferran, Paul Giamatti, Lewis Gribben, Osy Ikhile, Rashida Jones, Siena Kelly, Billy Magnussen, Rosy McEwen, Christin Milioti, Chris O’Dowd, Issa Rae, Paul G. Raymond, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jimmi Simpson, Harriet Walter,

Michele Austin, Ben Bailey Smith, Asim Chaudhry, Josh Finan, James Nelson-Joyce, Will Poulter, Jay Simpson, Michael Workéyè.

The USS Callister sequel:

Season 4’s Emmy-winning USS Callister starred Jesse Plemons as Robert Daly, a brilliant but troubled programmer who co-created a popular online video game. Unhappy with a perceived lack of recognition at his gaming company, Robert then created a simulated reality within the game, giving himself the role of a Captain Kirk–like figure aboard a starship leading a crew based on his real-life co-workers.

Since Robert Daly did not survive his voyages, Jesse Plemmons did not return for the sequel episode but Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson, Billy Magnussen, Milanka Brooks, Osy Ikhile, and Paul G. Raymond did..

A Banderdash sequel?

Will Poulter looks a lot like his character video game designer Colin Ritman from Banderdash.

Hotel Reverie:

This episode stars Issa Rae as contemporary A-lister Brandy Friday who is inserted into a simulated world of a black-and-white Hollywood romance Hotel Reverie starring Emma Corrin as Dorothy Chambers. Directed by Haolu Wang..

Who was in Vancouver for episode 5? It could have been Rashida Jones as an advertisement-spouting teacher who collapses in front of her class.
