Breakout horror director Osgood Perkin’s next dark trip is Keeper starring Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland.
Keeper follows a couple as they escape for a romantic anniversary weekend at a secluded cabin. When Malcolm (Rossif Sutherland) suddenly returns to the city, Liz (Tatiana Maslany) finds herself isolated and in the presence of an unspeakable evil that unveils the cabin’s horrifying secrets.
Osgood Perkins’s Trilogy of Vancouver-Shot Horror Films:
It started with Longlegs in the Winter of 2023.
Longlegs tells the story of Maika Monroe’s young FBI Agent hunting down Nicolas Cage’s creepy-as-hell Longlegs serial killer.
After Longlegs, Perkins directed Keeper, with Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland, in the Fall of 2023, under the working title A Shadowless Horse.
And then Perkins directed his adaption of the Stephen King story The Monkey, starring Theo James as twins, in the Winter of 2024.
When twin brothers Hal and Bill (Theo James) discover their father’s old monkey toy in the attic, a series of gruesome deaths starts occurring all around them. The brothers decide to throw the monkey away and move on with their lives, growing apart over the years. But when the mysterious deaths begin again, the brothers must reunite to find a way to destroy the monkey for good before it takes the lives of everyone close to them.
Box Office:
Longlegs broke big in the summer of 2024, with almost US$130 million at the global box office
The Monkey did well too in the Spring of 2025, reaching almost US$70 million.
Keeper is next this Fall, with a release date of November 14, 2025.
Neon Pictures distributes all three films.
