Season 2 of BC-filmed The Chicken Sisters, about duelling family fried-chicken restaurants now united as one, premieres tonight on the Hallmark channel and streams tomorrow on Hallmark+.
The Chicken Sisters is a family drama dipped in southern charm and served up with a saucy side of romance. The setting is the fictional town of Merinac.
In season one, a generations-old rift between dueling fried chicken restaurants – Mimi’s and Frannie’s – left the founders’ families fractured and the locals taking sides.
In season two, the dueling fried chicken restaurants are finally united as The Chicken Sisters. We follow Nancy Hillier (Lea Thomspon), Mae Moore (Genevieve Angelson). Amanda Moore- Hillier (Schuyler Fisk) and Gus Moore (Wendie Mallick) as their new The Chicken Sisters restaurant officially puts a generations-long feud to rest,. Meanwhile, Frank Jr. (James Kott) opens a Mr. Chicken’s Cluckery on Merinac’s Main Street and a familiar face (David James Elliott) comes back to town. As Mae and Jay (Samer Salem)’s wedding approaches, the Moore-Hillier women rise above the roost, proving that family is the only prize worth fighting for.
