Former convict Bode Leone (Max Thieriot) is now one of Cal Fire Station 42’s elite fire fighters, battling blazes in his hometown of Edgewater.alongside family, friends and the Three Rockinmate fire fighting program that gave him a path to redemption.
How did season 3 end?
Fire Country ended on a cliffhanger with Max Thieriot’s firefighter Bode Leone restrained from rushing into the burning Edgewater memory care centre where his grandfather Walter Leone (Jeff Fahey), father Vince Leone (Billy Burke) and mother Sharon Leone (Diane Farr) are trapped as the roof collapses on them.
What’s ahead in Season 4:
Season 4 picks up where season 3 left off, with Jake (Jordan Calloway) restraining Bode from running into the building.
And as Deadline: Hollywood reported in April, it is Billy Burke’s Cal Fire battalion chief Vince Leone who dies.
Season 4 will be about Station 42 facing the impact of his loss together.
Separately, Stephanie Arcila’s firefighter, EMT and Bode’s on-again off-again love interest Gabriela Perez is the other original cast member departing the show after three seasons. But she will appear in the season 4 premiere before parting ways with Bode — with the hope that in the future they will come back together again.
Shawn Hatosy joins the show in season 4 as a fire chief whose job is to come into troubled fire stations, diagnose what’s wrong and figure out how they can move forward. In Station 42’s case, it is the death of Vince Leone that upends the station.
What’s Fire Country about?
Seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence, convict Bode Leone (Max Thieriot) joined an inmate firefighting program called Three Rock in season one that returned him to his small northern California hometown Edgewater, where he and other inmates worked alongside his parents (Billy Burke & Diane Farr) and other elite Cal Fire firefighters from Station 42 to extinguish blazes across the region.
At the end of season 2, Bode got an early release from prison and after graduating from the Edgewater training program last Fall is now one of Cal Fire Station 42’s firefighters.

Fire Country is America’s 18th most-watched broadcast series, averaging 9.5 million viewers an episode in linear and streaming over 35 days, according to Nielsen.
