SULLIVAN’S CROSSING: #2 on Nielsen Streaming Chart After Season 3 Dropped on Netflix

After season 3 of Sullivan’s Crossing dropped on Netflix last month, the hit Canadian romance ranked #2 on the Nielsen Top 10 Streaming chart with 1.59 billion minutes viewed of all three seasons during that week (August 11-17).

The CTV drama is adapted from the same best-selling author Robyn Carr as Netflix’s hit romance Virgin River, Sullivan’s Crossing follows neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan),who returns to her hometown in rural Nova Scotia after a scandal. There she reconnects with her estranged father Sully (Scott Patterson) and meets Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray).

The series takes place in the fictional town of Timberlake, Nova Scotia.

Now filming season 4 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Sullivan’s Crossing is a hit on CTV in Canada, The CW in the U.S. and Netflix around the world.

Season 2 ended on a cliff-hanger. A fire broke out at Shannon’s Diner and as Sully and Cal rushed in to save the owners the building exploded, leaving Sully’s fate unknown.

Of course Sully survived the fire and even embarked on a romance of his own in season 3.

But the third season ended on a big cliff-hangar too.

Maggie was pulled back into surgery to operate on Edna Cranebear (Andrea Menard)’s tumour.

Cal overheard someone at the Timberlake hospital telling Maggie about a possible job in neurosurgery at a Chicago hospital. He worried that their relationship was holding her back professionally.

Maggie reassured him that she’ll always be a doctor but she’ll do it in Timberlake with a new practice as a GP.

Everything seemed good between Maggie and Cal. Then the bombshell dropped — Who’s this guy?

He’s Liam (Marcus Rosner), who’s revealed to be Maggie’s legal husband.

Liam and the romantic triangle play a big role in season 4 now shooting in Halifax..
