THE LAST OF US Season 3 With Kaitlyn Dever Starts Production Early Next Year in BC

Season 3 of HBO’s popular The Last of Us begins production early next year in British Columbia with Kaitlyn Dever’s Washington Liberation Front (WLF) leader Abby as the main character.

The Last of Us takes place 20+ years after modern civilization has been destroyed by the Cordyceps fungal pandemic.

In season one, Joel (Pedro Pascal), a hardened survivor, was hired to smuggle Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What started as a small job soon became a brutal and heartbreaking journey as they traversed the U.S. and depended on each other for survival.

Season 2 picked up five years after the events of the first season, with Joel and Ellie living in Jackson, Wyoming but estranged by a lie. Joel’s brutal death at the hands of former Firefly Abby sent Ellie to Seattle on a path of vengeance against Abby and her WLF crew.

Season 3 will change perspective, following Abby on her journey to a confrontation with Ellie.
