Hallmark’s popular family time-twister The Way Home, starring Chyler Leigh, Andie Macdowell and Sadie Laflamme-Snow,, has wrapped production on its series in Ontario.
Hallmark announced season 4 would be the last, just weeks before filming on the new season was scheduled to wrap — surprising creators, cast, crew and fans.
And that, they say, is all folks but hey…the pond always takes you where you need to go. Maybe if we all wish hard enough, it’ll show us The Way Home again — Chyler Leigh.

Divorced journalist Kat Landry (Chyler Leigh) and her teen daughter Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) return home to Port Haven, New Brunswick, to live with Kat’s estranged mother Del (Andie Macdowell) on the family farm with a mysterious time-travelling pond.
In season 2, Kat searched for her younger brother Jacob who west missing as a boy after he fell into the pond and was transported into the distant past. She found him a grown man in 1814 Port Haven and in the season finale adult Jacob (Spencer Macpherson) came home.
In season 3, Kat closed the door on the 1800s and we were introduced to a groovy new era when the pond transported Kat and Alice to 1974 – the year Del (Julia Tomasone) and Colton (Jefferson Brown) first met as teens and their epic love story began.
At the end of season 3, Kat and Elliot (Evan Williams) get back together. We learn that Elliot’s family – the Augustines — have been wrapped up with the Landrys and time travel for a long time and Elliot was the baby in the basket.
