How did it happen?
Percy decides to go on an unsanctioned quest to the Sea of Monsters, sneaking away from his Camp Half-Blood cabin in the night.
On the beach, Hermes the Messenger God (Lin Manuel Miranda) gives Percy some useful tools like a thermos of wind and direct him to his ride– a cruise ship in the distance. What does Hermes want in return? For Percy to save Hermes’s wayward son Luke from Kronos’s influence.
Before Percy goes, Annabeth rushes to stop him from leaving..
But new Camp Half-Blood activities director Tantalus (Timothy Simons) has tracked them down and tries to kill them for breaking camp laws. Percy’s half-brother Tyson knocks down Tantalus and the trio escape in a zodiac and head out to sea on their quest.
Season 2:
In season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Percy (Walker Scobell) returns to Camp Half-Blood one year later to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) is changing, he learns he has a cyclops half-brother named Tyson (Daniel Diemer), Grover (Aryan Simhadri) has gone missing, and the camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos. Percy’s journey to set things right will take him into the deadly Sea of Monsters to retrieve the Golden Fleece that will save Thalia’s tree, which protects the borders of the camp.
