Searchlight told Deadline: Hollywood that the sequel to cult horror hit Ready or Not is their biggest trailer launch ever, with 68 million views in the first 24 hours..
The original Ready or Not followed a young bride (Samantha Weaving) as she joined her new husband (Mark O’Brien)’s rich, eccentric Le Domas family (Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, Andie MacDowell) in a time-honored tradition that turned into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.
Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace (Samara Weaving) discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton) at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever wins rules it all.
Sarah Michelle Gellar aka Buffy the Vampire Slayer is from one of the rival families hunting Grace and Faith.
She seems to enjoy playing a villain alongside Shawn Hatosy
