The newly titled Netflix rom-com Guarding Stars, starring Jared Padalecki as a famous movie star and Leighton Meester as his bodyguard, resumes filming in Calgary next week after a holiday hiatus.
.Guarding stars follows a movie star (Jared Padalecki) who is assigned a bodyguard (Leighton Meester) as he is being stalked. However, when the actor returns to his family’s home for the holidays, he has the bodyguard pretend to be his girlfriend so his family doesn’t worry.
Adapted from Katherine Center’s novel The Bodyguard, the movie switches the locale of the book from a ranch in Texas to a ranch in Montana.
