Netflix’s most-watched movies and shows in What We Watched report forJuly to December 2025.
Most-Watched Movies:
Kpop Demon Hunters broke Netflix records as the global streamer’s most-watched title over a six-month period with 482 million views.
Coming in third was monster performer Frankenstein, Guillermo del Toro’s long-gestating adaption of the Mary Shelley classic, with 98 million views.
Frankenstein split production between Toronto, with its giant outdoor ship set at Cherry Point, and Scotland with its gothic houses.
Most-Watched Shows:
Wednesday season 2 topped the most-watched shows in the back half. with 124 million views.
But the return of Stranger Things for a fifth and final season dominated the pop culture conversation and the charts — with season 5 at #2 with 94 million views and all five seasons combined tallying 275 million views.
The surprise performer at #3 is American national park mystery series Untamed with 93 million views.
Various locations in British Columbia played Yosemite National Park.
Season 2 of Untamed is expected to shoot in Hawaii with Eric Bana’s special agent Kyle Turner investigating a new mystery in a new American national park.
Further down the list is season 2 of Alberta-filmed My Life With the Walter Boys with 39 million views.
