Hulu’s Phony, a coming-of-age comedy-with-a-twist starring Sam Nivola and Connie Britton, is filming in Vancouver this Spring.
Phony is a coming-of-age mystery about a teenager (Sam Nivola) who wakes up in the hospital after a car accident to discover his mom (Connie Britton)— his only parent and his best friend — appears to have been replaced by an impostor.

Sam Nivola plays Sonny, the most beloved student at his high school, but his Mom is the only person who really knows him.
Connie Britton plays Sonny’s single Mom Ellen and the principal of his high school.
Sam Nivola’s credits include season 3 of HBO’s smash hit White Lotus and Netflix phenom The Perfect Couple and Connie Britton’s credits include the beloved Friday Night Lights series and season one of The White Lotus.
Phony’s tone is described as Freaks and Geeks trapped in The Twilight Zone.
