One last trip to The Wilderness. . .
Yellowjackets made it official., announcing that production on the final season is underway in Vancouver, with the stranded-in-the-Wilderness teens about to be rescued.
Filming began last week and is expected to wrap in five months.

What is Yellowjackets about?
Yellowjackets is about a group of survivors from a girls’ high-school soccer team who 25 + years ago were stranded deep in the Canadian wilderness after a plane crash and went feral.
At the end of season 3, teen Natalie (Sophie Thatcher) broke away from the Winter hunt and cannibalistic feast of Mari aka Pit Girl to climb a mountain and make contact with the outside world.
In the final season, we will see what happens when the teens are rescued and try to reintegrate into their former lives.
These girls have changed remarkably, for better or for worse, in their time out there, especially because of their age. They’re so malleable to begin with, and they’ve become very different people, And to see those people readjust to a world that is almost — I wouldn’t say insignificant to them; it’s obviously very significant — foreign to them now in a way that we think would be really ripe for storytelling and to dig deeper into their characters. — Co-creator Ashley Lyle to the Los Angeles Times.
How did season 3 end?
In the teen survivors 1990s timeline, scary teen Shauna (Sophie Nélisse) is the new ruthless Antler Queen, wearing locks of butchered Mari’s long black hair.
In the adult survivors 2020s timeline, scary adult Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) vowed to reclaim her power.
