Anna Lambe & Arctic Comedy NORTH OF NORTH Win Big at CANADIAN SCREEN AWARDS

Hit Arctic comedy North of North won nine Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Comedy Series and Best Comedy Ensemble.

North of North follows a young Inuk woman (Anna Lambe) who wants to build a new future for herself after a spontaneous — and extremely public — exit from her marriage. But it won’t be easy in a small Arctic town where everybody knows your business.

Anna Lambe accepted an award for Best Lead Performer for her starring role in the CBC and Netflix co-production at the gala event in Toronto.

And Maika Harper won Best Supporting Performer and Tanya Tagaq won Best Guest Performer.

While the entire cast took Best Comedy Ensemble.

And awards for Best Direction, Best Writing, Best Hair and Best Original Music.

That’s 9!

Production on season 2 has wrapped in Toronto and snowy Iqaluit in Canada’s most Northern Territory Nunavut The new season will premiere early next year.
