Sonic 4 , aka the fourth instalment in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie franchise, has wrapped production.
Director Jeff Fowler shared an image of himself with a puppet of Metal Sonic, the evil robot version of Sonic in the Sega video games.

The first two Sonic movies filmed in BC as they centred on Sonic’s defence of his family and friends in the small town of Green Hill (played by Ladysmith and Fort Langley, BC) from Jim Carrey’s evil Dr. Robotnik.
Sonic 3 went bigger, with Sonic turning to former foe Dr. Robotnik for help in battling new rival Shadow the Hedgehog (voiced by the one and only Keanu Reeves) in London, Tokyo and elsewhere on the planet. Production moved from BC to Pinewood Studios in the U.K.
In the latest instalment, Kristen Bell joins as the voice of Amy Rose, the pink speedster with a big crush on Sonic.

Bren Kingsley, Nick Offerman and Matt Berry are also on board in undisclosed roles. Is one of them voicing Metal Sonic?
Voice actors start work in about two weeks.
