TRACKER Preview of Justin Hartley & Jensen Ackles Reunion in Season 3 Finale

It’d be good to clear the air, you know? We did. – Russell Shaw (Jensen Ackles)

Look at us now — Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) as the brothers clink beer bottles.

We’ll get a preview of Justin Hartley and Jensen Ackles’s next big case as the Shaw brothers on this Sunday’s Tracker, ahead of the season 3 finale on May 24th.

Tracker follows Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley), a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own family mystery.

Season 3 finale – The Best Ones.

Colter (Justin Hartley) and Russell (Jensen Ackles) search for a victim of a nefarious research project.

In the clip, Russell tells his brother that he knows the location of Dr. Jukic, a researcher who worked with their late father at the mysterious Chronostasis Institute.

The details line up, she changed her name, went offline, probably for good reason. She was working for Dad on that chronostasis project in Alaska. I did get some intel on what they were trying to do, but most of it was redacted. — Russell.

Jensen Ackles flew into Vancouver last month after The Boys press tour in Europe to shoot the finale.

A lot has happened in the Shaw family — Mom (Wendy Crewson), brother Russell (Jensen Ackles), Colter (Justin Hartley) and sister Dory (Melissa Roxburgh) — in three seasons.

When we met Colter in season one of Tracker, he believed that Russell had caused their father Ashton Shaw’s death 20 years before but in the second-to-last episode of that season, Russell convinced him someone else was responsible.

In season 2 episode 2, Russell came to Colter’s rescue on an X-Files-style case and the Shaw brothers found out a bit more about their father’s work as a government contractor and possible involvement in a conspiracy.

Then, at the end of season 2, Colter was stunned to learn his mother Mary (Wendy Crewson) may have been involved in his father’s death, after Colter found and confronted the man Otto (Alex Fernandez), who actually pushed his father off the cliff.

Colter and Russell reunited in the two-part season 3 premiere on another X-Files-style case, investigating a system called The Process — in which people were blackmailed into doing terrible things, modelled by grad students after their professor’s experiments.

The Process took the brothers into a very dark place, similar to the world that their Dad inhabited at university when something caused him to step away and take his family off the grid.

These [government] experiments, possible mental, physical, psychological experiments that bear some really bad fruit. Some of that may also play into some of the larger secrets about Colter’s family — not this particular thing that’s in the season opener, but it’s opening up that world. ,. . . think some of the answers with what happened with [Colter’s] family lie in that world. — showrunner Elwood Reid to TV Insider.

Tracker’s season 3 finale airs Sunday, May 24th.
