CBC’s SAINT-PIERRE Season 3 With Allan Hawco & Josephine Jobert Back Filming This July For 5 Months

Fitz and Arch.

Season 3 of CBC crime drama Saint-Pierre, starring Canada’s Allan Hawco and France’s Josephine Jobert, will be back filming in Newfoundland and Saint-Pierre et Miquelon this July for five months.

What’s Saint-Pierre about?

Two cops fight crime on the French-owned Islands of St. Pierre et Miquelon located off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.

The islands are a 90-minute ferry ride from Fortune, Newfoundland or a 9-hour flight from Paris.

How did season 2 end?

Season 2 ended with Arch discovering that her new boyfriend Theo had been covering up his brother Leon’s crimes as The Abstract Killer.

Theo leads Arch and Fitz to the fishing shack where Leon is holding Prefect  Charlotte Diard but a betrayed Leon slashes Theo’s throat and Arch and Fiz shoot Leon dead

So what’s next for Fitz and Arch? Their final conversation of the season is suggestive:

Arch: If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go?

Fitz: Wherever you are.

Smooth Fitz, Very smooth.

Maybe they will go to Paris together or maybe Arch will replace Marcus as Chief of Police — making her Fitz’s boss.

And who is the mysterious woman who got off the helicopter and was greeted by one of crime boss Sean Gallagher’s associates Benoit Lévesque played by Paul Gross?

We’ll find out next year when season 3 premieres.

Longer synopsis:

After Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Inspector Donny “Fitz” Fitzpatrick (Allan Hawco) digs too deeply into a local politician’s nefarious activity, he is exiled to work in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, the French Territory nestled in the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Newfoundland.

Fitz’s arrival disrupts the life of Deputy Chief Geneviève “Arch” Archambault (Josephine Jobert)., a Parisian transplant who is in Saint-Pierre for her own intriguing reasons. As if by fate, these two seasoned officers — with very different policing skills and approaches — are forced together to solve unique and exciting crimes.

Although the islands seem like a quaint tourist destination, the idyllic façade conceals the worst kind of criminal activity which tend to wash up on its beautiful shores. At first at odds and suspicious of each other, Arch and Fitz soon discover that they are better together… a veritable crime-fighting force.

Allan Hawco not only stars in the series, he co-created it and is a co-showrunner.
