Prime Video’s hit series We Were Liars is back filming season 2 in Nova Scotia, with various locations playing Martha’s Vineyard and the Sinclair family’s private island.
Adapted from E. Lockhart’s book Family of Liars, season 2 flashes back to the summer of 1999 on Beechwood Island to explore the dark history of season one’s Sinclair Moms as teens.
Sinclair Moms:: Caitlin FitzGerald as Penny, Candice King as Bess and Mamie Gummer as Carrie.
In an effort to confront her truth, Cadence (Emily Alyn Lind) returns to Beechwood. As she digs deeper into family secrets, she learns about the Sinclair Sisters’ summer of 1999 — a summer rife with first love, rivalry, and even murder. In flashbacks, we see Carrie, Penny, and Bess navigate their own teenage summer, as they come to terms with their past in the present day.

Plus Josh Dallas as Young Harris, Peyton List as young Tipper and Costa D’Angelo as a newcomer.
