When a body is discovered in the snow, the reunion spirals into a classic whodunit, with Ernest serving as both narrator and reluctant detective. As secrets unravel and more bodies appear, he carefully lays out clues, breaking the fourth wall to guide readers through the mystery.
The tone sounds not far removed from Penn Badgley’s hit series You, where his character Joe Goldberg took us inside the head of his charming serial killer in voice-overs.
