Disney+’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians casts Holt McCallany as Titan Atlas, a pivotal villain in season 3 who will keep causing problems for Percy and friends throughout the series.
Zeus condemned the legendary Titan Atlas to hold up the celestial heavens aka the Bearer of Heaven after the last Titan war against the Olympians. Atlas has recently been freed from his burden and seeks to lead the armies of Kronos in a war of vengeance.
Season 3 adapts Rick Riordan’s third book The Titan’s Curse.
When the goddess Artemis (Dafne Keen) goes missing, she is believed to have been kidnapped. And now it’s up to Percy and his friends to find out what happened. Who is powerful enough to kidnap a goddess? They must find Artemis before the winter solstice, when her influence on the Olympian Council could swing an important vote on the war with the Titans.
Not only that, but first Percy will have to solve the mystery of a rare monster that Artemis was hunting when she disappeared — a monster rumoured to be so powerful it could destroy Olympus forever.

Saturday Night Live alum Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty.
Aphrodite can alter her appearance depending on the beholder and “must be sure that Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) respects the power and importance of love before she agrees to offer aid on his quest.
Jesse L. Martin (The Flash, The irrational) as Annabeth’s mortal Dad Frederick Chase. The military historian and his daughter have a complicated relationship but he loves her and they are finding a way back to each other.
In other casting news, David Costabile plays stern military academy headmaster Dr. Thorn who demands obedience from his students.
Production on the new season began in Vancouver in early August..
