THE INSTITUTE Season 2 To Shoot in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia This Winter & Spring

Season 2 of Stephen King adaption The Institute, a thriller series about a shadowy organization kidnapping kids with psychic abilities, will film in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia this Winter and Spring.

With Joe Freeman as one of the kids, Mary-Louise Parker as the head of the Institute and Ben Barnes as a former police officer, season one wrapped filming in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in December 2024.

When teen genius Luke Ellis (Joe Freeman) is kidnapped, he awakens at The Institute, a facility full of children who all got there the same way he did, and who are all possessed of unusual abilities.

In a nearby town, haunted former police officer Tim Jamieson (Ben Barnes) has come looking to start a new life, but the peace and quiet won’t last, as his story and Luke’s are destined to collide
