Netflix’s period romance series The Granville Girls is shooting in Calgary this summer.
Adapted from American author Cat Cahill’s romance book series The Gilbert Girls, the new series follows women who find independence alongside a newly built railroad in a mountain valley in the late 1800s– swapping out Colorado for the Canadian Rockies.
As the great railway sweeps across the Canadian Rockies, Emma Daniels becomes a ‘Granville Girl,’ one of a select few women hired to work at the Granville Hotel.
