Season 3 of HBO’s popular adaption of The Last of Us video games is shooting scenes of Kaitlyn Dever’s Abby on a rooftop and in a laneway in downtown Vancouver as dystopian Seattle for the next three days.
Filming scenes of actors on the roof top of 314 W Cordova Street and in the laneway between West Cordova and West Hastings Streets.

It’s good to see blocks of downtown Vancouver turned into a dystopian but lush version of Seattle again.

What is The Last of Us?
The Last of Us takes place 20+ years after modern civilization has been destroyed by the Cordyceps fungal pandemic.
In season one, Joel (Pedro Pascal), a hardened survivor, was hired to smuggle Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What started as a small job soon became a brutal and heartbreaking journey as they traversed the U.S. and depended on each other for survival.
Season 2 picked up five years after the events of the first season, with Joel and Ellie living in Jackson, Wyoming but estranged by a lie. Joel’s brutal death at the hands of former Firefly Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) sent Ellie to Seattle on a path of vengeance against Abby and her Washington Liberation Front (WLF) crew.
Season 3 will change perspective, following Abby on her journey to a confrontation with Ellie.
Will that shift of perspective soften Abby, who is arguably the most the most-hated video game character of all time?

Returning cast in season 3 include Abby’s WLF crew — Spencer Lord as Owen, Tati Gabrielle as Nora,, Ariela Barer as Mel. Joining season 3 is Jorge Lendeborg Jr. in a recasting as the new Manny.
Jeffrey Wright should be back too as the ruthless WLF leader Isaac Dixon.
And we will meet Patrick Wilson as Abby’s fatherJerry and Jason Ritter as WLF soldier Hanley.
The new Seraphite cast will include rebels Kyriana Kratte as Lev and ,Michelle Mao as Yara plus Cleo DuVall in an undisclosed role.
Ellie’s Jackson crew — Gabriel Luna as Tommy Miller and Isabel Merced as Dina. — should show up later.
