Homelander (Antony Starr) tried to convince his father Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) not to leave in last week’s penultimate episode of the series.
But Soldier Boy had had enough.

If Soldier Boy hadn’t called Homelander “son” as he walked out, Homelander might have let him go. Instead he choked out his father and put him back in cryo-statis.
We won’t see Soldier Boy again unti next year’s big debut of the prequel series Vought Rising.
