Season 2 of Netflix’s BC-filmed live-action adaption of Avatar: The Last Airbender takes the battle to the Earth Kingdom.
After a bittersweet victory saving the Northern Water Tribe from the invading Fire Nation, Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio) and Sokka (Ian Ousley) regroup and set off on a mission to convince the elusive Earth King to aid in their battle against fearsome Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim), which takes them to the impenetrable city of Ba Sing Se.
Along the way, Aang convinces Toph (Miyako) an audacious young master, to train him in earthbending a skill he’ll need to eventually stop the Fire Nation. Unfortunately for Team Avatar, Prince Zuko (Dallas Liu) is still determined to capture Aang — and his formidable sister, Azula (Elizabeth Yu), has joined the fray.
Building Ba Sing Se:

Crew built an outside Asian palace set and village set on an epic scale at the Flavelle Mill backlot in Port Moody in 2024, adapting and expanding Shogun’s existing feudal Japan set.

Seeing Ba Sing Se, is incredible. They built it all outside — Miya Cech (Toph).

Earth Kingdom casting call for adapted Port Moody set in October, 2024.

The Earth Kingdom cast:
Toph (Miya Cech) aka “the blind bandit” joins the fight against Fire Nation.
