Is Prime Video’s live-action series of the popular ancient mythology God of War game franchise moving production from Vancouver, Canada to the U.K. and Prague in the Fall?
The possible move appeared on this week’s issue of Production Weekly.
Filming on the live-action adaption began February 25th in North Vancouver.
What is God of War about?
God of War follows Kratos (Ryan Hurst), the God of War, who, after exiling himself from his blood-soaked past in ancient Greece, hangs up his weapons forever in the Norse realm of Midgard.
When his beloved wife dies, Kratos sets off on a dangerous journey with his estranged son (Callum Vinson)to spread her ashes from the highest peak—his wife’s final wish.
Kratos soon realizes the journey is an epic quest in disguise, one which will test the bonds between father and son, and force Kratos to battle new Gods and monsters for the fate of the world.

The God of War game franchise is one of PlayStation’s most profitable and iconic brands, having sold over 66 million games worldwide.
God of War showrunner Ronald D. Moore is best known for his acclaimed Battlestar Galactica (So Say We All) , alternative version of the space race For All Mankind and time-travelling romance Outlander.
